Mica Bernard’s powerful new solo single shares what ‘It’s Like’ to feel acceptance
‘It’s Like’ is the first track on Mica Bernard’s upcoming solo EP, and is out now. Encapsulated by an ethereal synth pad, ‘It’s Like’ tells a story of realising love and acceptance, with poignant piano parts dancing in and out as if discovering new layers to this feeling. The ethereal song uses traditional folk harmony in a stripped back loop to express the peace that authentic love can bring.
Mica’s debut Indie Folk EP explores themes of love, loss, change, identity and acceptance. “After my band project split up in 2024, I decided to focus on creating and reclaiming songs that had a sound that was just me”. With the next song due in January, Mica is very proud and excited to finally be sharing these witty, heartfelt and honest tracks.

Mica Bernard (Pron Mee-sha) is an Indie Singer-songwriter whose powerful and warm vocal breathes a soulfulness into her folky sound. Sunny yet stirring, her lyrics are honest and invite you into a relatable, witty and heartfelt space. Taking influence from the likes of KT Tunstall, Lianne la Havas, Joan Armatrading and Florence and the Machine, Mica has a background in delivering therapeutic music sessions to NICU’S (Neonatal Intensive Care Units) and they constantly inspire her to create music that connects people. As a performer Mica exudes a cool calmness that is captivating to watch.
"My music is taken to the next level when you see and hear it performed live. I sing about race, love, identity, change and through all of these moments we have in life there is nothing more powerful than connection.
